Beach Access Ramp

The specifications of the use of the beach access ramp are still being reviewed by the Village Attorney. Please be aware that current Village Code 4-4B, allows for boat transport only, not transport of people or beach paraphernalia. Until this is all finalized, the following process will be in place.

Any resident who requests access to the ramp for the purpose of launching a vessel must submit a copy of the car and trailer registration and the auto insurance for the vehicle which will be driven on the ramp.

These documents should be emailed to clerk@shorehamvillage.org. The clerk will acknowledge receipt of the documents via email. The resident must show a printed copy or digital version of the email, including the clerk's acknowledgement, and present it to a Code Enforcement Officer or lifeguard when requesting that the ramp gate be unlocked.

The lifeguards start their shift at 11AM. They go off shift anywhere from 5PM to 7PM depending on the day of the week. Please make sure you have a plan to get your vessel out of the water and up the ramp with either the lifeguards or Code Enforcement as the beach access gate will be locked when they go off shift.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while these details are worked out.

PLEASE NOTE: VEHICLES MAY ONLY DRIVE ON THE BEACH FROM NORTH TO SOUTH FROM THE RAMP TO EFFECT DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP OF YOUR VESSEL. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE ACROSS THE BEACH FROM EAST TO WEST.

ALL VESSELS MUST REMAIN AT LEAST 300 FEET AWAY FROM ROPES DESIGNATING THE SWIMMING AREA.
